Employment
Participants must be employed (no less than 20 hours/week) and maintain employment throughout their participation in the program. If you are not currently employed, we can help you with your job search.

This program is designed to teach life skills in order to help participants become stable, responsible adults. This is not a short-term, quick fix program.
Participants of the New Life Transitional Program must be at least 18 years of age and have no violent offenses on their record (background checks will be required upon admittance into the program).
Program Requirements:
Substance Free
All participants must be clean and sober for a minimum of 6 months before being admitted into the program. This is not a rehab program; we do not focus on prevention or recovery.
Prenatal Care
If the participant is pregnant, she must be receiving prenatal care. The case manager will require proof of such care. If the participant is pregnant but has not received prenatal care, the case manager can provide assistance in finding a doctor, but all housing credit will be withheld until proof of care is provided.
Transportation
Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from all required appointments, classes and Bible studies. Information on the city bus transit system as well as information on how to obtain a bus pass is available if needed.
Orientation
Upon admittance into the program, the participant will meet with their case manager to go over the schedule of classes, appointments, Bible studies and program guidelines.

All prospective participants will be required to submit an application, complete with references. Applicants are not guaranteed admittance into the program, but will be evaluated on their commitment to change, need for assistance and feedback from references. The New Life Transitional Program is dedicated to privacy and confidentiality for every participant of the program. All personnel of New Life Transitional Program, New Life Counseling and Arizona Baptist Children’s Services & Family Ministries are committed to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards of confidentiality and privacy; however, there are some situations which Arizona state laws require us to report:
- When there is reason to believe that a person may seriously hurt themselves and/or others.
- When there are indications that a minor (any person under the age of 18) has been or is being abused or neglected.
- When minors, aged thirteen years old or younger, have been involved in any kind of sexual contact or sexual conduct with any other person.
In addition, the staff working with New Life Transitional Program reserve the right to share all information regarding the participant with the statewide director and supervisory staff of Arizona Baptist Children’s Services & Family Ministries, which has ultimate authority to decide all matters pertaining to the New Life Transitional Program.
