Employment
Participants must be employed (no less than 20 hours/week) and maintain employment throughout their participation in the program. If you are not currently employed, we can help you with your job search.
Participants of the New Life Transitional Program must be at least 18 years of age and have no violent offenses on their record (background checks will be required upon admittance into the program).

All participants must be clean and sober for a minimum of 6 months before being admitted into the program. This is not a rehabilitation program; however, we will foster an environment of continued recovery to our clients through accountability with community partners so clients can maintain their sobriety.
If the participant is pregnant, she must be receiving prenatal care. The case manager will require proof of such care. If the participant is pregnant but has not received prenatal care, the case manager can provide assistance in finding a doctor, but all housing credit will be withheld until proof of care is provided.
Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from all required appointments, classes and Bible studies. Information on the city bus transit system as well as information on how to obtain a bus pass is available if needed.
Upon admittance into the program, the participant will meet with their case manager to go over the schedule of classes, appointments, Bible studies and program guidelines. Applicants can read over the full program guidelines below.
Program GuidelinesAll prospective participants will be required to submit an application, complete with references. Applicants are not guaranteed admittance into the program, but will be evaluated on their commitment to change, need for assistance and feedback from references. In addition, the staff working with New Life Transitional Program reserve the right to share all information regarding the participant with the statewide director and supervisory staff of Arizona Baptist Children’s Services & Family Ministries, which has ultimate authority to decide all matters pertaining to the New Life Transitional Program.
