Meet the Mentors

New Life Transitional Program, a ministry of ABCS, offers several free services that work together to bring stability to the life of the participant and prepares them for independent living. These services are only available to those who are accepted into the program. Individual mentoring is one of these services and a critical component of the growth and transformation that occurs through the transitional program. Mentors guide participants in setting personal, professional, spiritual and/or financial goals. They also provide accountability and encouragement. We would like to introduce you to the four women who are currently mentoring program participants.

  • Maria was born and raised in East Los Angeles. She moved to Tucson to escape violence and addiction and has now maintained 19 years of sobriety. Maria recommitted her life to the Lord and knows from experience how to journey from hardship to hope.
  • Kim is from Missouri. She started volunteering at ABCS a few years back and was recently hired as the director for New Life Pregnancy Center. She has a passion to help women and is gifted in evangelism.
  • Cyndi felt called to move to Tucson last year to support women in need. Cyndi is a trauma-informed life coach with a passion for helping women live for God. Her desire to help others began when Jesus freed her from her hurt, pain and anger.
  • Desi is a Tucson native who came out of addiction 19 years ago into a life with Christ. Desi has been serving as the director of New Life Transitional Program since 2014 and is also a mentor for the transitional program. She has a passion for evangelism and desires to see others find purpose and break free from the pain of their past.
